About WEGCSS
W.E. Graham Community Service Society provides programs and services that actively engage individuals and families in the Slocan Valley. We facilitate lifelong learning opportunities for all community members. We also provide leadership in community, economic and social development.
Some of What We Do
- We advance education and training opportunities to all residents of the Slocan Valley through the Learning Centre.
- We provide and maintain a geared to income, licensed childcare facility in order to assist and support families in need of appropriate, affordable, or adequate daycare.
- We help alleviate rural isolation and lack of social and recreational services for our youth with the Youth Centre in order to prevent at risk behaviors, such as substance abuse, violence, and vandalism.
- We strive to reduce hunger and poverty in our community of the Slocan Valley with the Slocan Valley Food Cupboard.
W.E. Graham Community Service Society is a Revenue Canada Designated Charitable Organization and Registered BC Non-Profit Society Incorporated in 1997.
Policy and Procedures
W.E. Graham Community Service Society aims for transparency and accountability in all our operations. We operate under a number of policies and procedures, in compliance with government legislation and the requirements of our funders and partners. All policies and procedures are approved and reviewed by the Board of Directors, and available to the public, both online and on site at the WEGCSS office, by request.
