Holiday Hampers
Registration for the 2024 Holiday Hamper program has now closed.
Holiday Hamper day takes place on Thursday, December 19th between noon and 3pm at the WE Graham School gym.
Hampers must be collected in person, or arrangements must be made PRIOR TO the day, for a named person to collect on your behalf. We may be able to arrange limited delivery to seniors, or people who are housebound, again, you must contact us beforehand.
A festive meal will be served in the WEGCSS kitchen/youth centre on Holiday Hamper day from 11am – 2.45pm, so stop in for a bite to eat while collecting your hamper.
To be eligible for a Slocan Valley Food Cupboard Holiday Hamper you must be resident in the area we serve, which stretches from Red Mountain Road, just south of Silverton, to Crescent Valley. Those living to the north of Red Mountain Road should contact New Denver food bank, those living past the junction should contact Nelson or Castlegar food banks.
The Holiday Hamper program takes a huge amount of dedication and generosity to make it a success each year. This includes exceptional commitment from our staff, who make this happen on top of all their regular duties, an array of enthusiastic volunteers from throughout the community, including delivery drivers, school students, kitchen volunteers, and donations of all kinds, large and small, financial and practical, from individuals, local businesses and organisations, corporations, and funders.

We would like to thank our generous partners, funders and donors for all their support.
