Do you live in or near Slocan village and have existing garden space you’re not using?
If so we would love to hear from you! Our Garden Coordinator is looking for a large space to plant low maintenance crops that take up a lot of space like potatoes and/or squash to free up space in the Food Bank Garden for other crops that require more tending. Ideally the space would be fenced, and have access to water to set up a timed sprinkler system.
Cory, our Garden Coordinator would take full responsibility for tending the garden, and would need access, but would be as unobtrusive as possible. In exchange we can offer garden produce from the food bank garden. We are looking for somewhere in or close to Slocan village, for easier access.
If you can help, or would like to find out more about what he is looking for, and how it would work, please get in touch at 250-355-3484 or email gardenmanager@wegcss.org
