We invite our incredible Slocan youth to join DJ Skylar Love in an unforgettable workshop to learn about the fundamentals of Djing. Skylar will be returning to the very same place they grew up in in the 90's where it all began, for a once in a lifetime opportunity to share their honed skills, tips and knowledge with the next generation of beat mixers!

Skylar is an international DJ that has headlined in cities like Berlin, Los Angeles, Mexico City, San Francisco, Toronto and of course their hometown of Vancouver. They are known for trail blazing a path for female and LGBTQ Dj's in North America, and are still very much active and relevant in their community as a DJ performer, event producer and mentor today.

Don't miss out on this free workshop that will introduce you to different types of gear, the basics of mixing, BPM, beat-matching, different genres and of course the steps necessary to achieve your very first mix. All materials and equipment will be provided. No experience necessary. A workshop in music theory in a way you can finally feel inspired by.
