Parent Connection

parent connection

Parent Connection offers Parent Connection is a free monthly program, at Passmore Hall, for parents and caregivers with young children aged 0-8.

It’s a free social, with an exchange of baby and young children’s goods; clothes, maternity clothes, toys, diapers, bouncers, books, etc. There is a play area with toys and books for children. Join us for a hot, nutritious lunch and the company of other families. Babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers welcome–grandparents, too!

This is an opportunity to bring clothing and items in good condition that you no longer need. There’s no requirement to bring things–you can always just take what you need (or gather stuff for a friend).

A special guest is present ech month, the guests are all knowledgeable in their respective fields and are there to answer questions and offer resources in their respective areas. Guests differ month to month, typically guests bring information relating to early years health, language, dental hygiene, child care, and or development. Occasionally guests will speak to parents and caregivers regarding finance or setting up RESP’s. All guests bring resources and information, and are accessible to talk with during the event.

Parent Connection takes place on the second Thursday of each month,  except for July, August and December, from 10 am – 1pm at Passmore Hall, 3656 Old Passmore Road, Slocan Park.
