The Food Bank Community Garden was built by local people and supports the Slocan Valley Food Cupboard during the growing and harvesting season. The Food Bank Garden is tended by  our Garden manager Fran and her amazing volunteers. In 2020 the garden produced nearly 850lbs of produce to help feed the community. The garden also includes a community garden space for community members to tend their own plots, and room for other projects like our Intergenerational Cooking Program.

Press play to hear an archived radio interview with Stephanie Boivin and Holly Jack on Kootenay Co-Op Radio in April, 2014 all about the Food Bank Community Garden.
