W.E. Graham Community Service Society Program Updates– Covid19 

We thank you for your patience & understanding during these times. All the changes we have made are to keep our community & staff safe & healthy.

Program Changes:

Food Bank Modified– Lunch is cancelled. Boxes will be handed out from the Food Bank doors.  Please practice physical distancing with other Food Bank patrons when you pick up. Dress warmly, as the building will be closed to public. 

Strong Start – Virtual programming now offered by Mz. Pati on Facebook! Tuesdays: 10:00 – 11:00  https://www.facebook.com/slocanvalleystrongstart/
Drop in any time, stay as long as you like. Stay for rhymes, stories and puppets with Pati!

Senior’s Lunch Now offered on a pre-ordered and delivered basis.  Please call 250 355 2484 to put yourself on the call list.  We will call you to take your order and confirm a delivery time on the fourth Thursday of each month.  Same yummy lunch, now delivered!

Youth CentreClosed until further notice. 

Learning Centre Monday 11-1: Wednesday 11-2: Thursday 11-2

Please note the open hours and first-come-first-serve limited number of patrons in the space at one time. These physical distancing and other measures are intended to minimize risk of possible virus transmission.

Patrons will be limited to two at once inside the Learning Centre and will be asked to use designated computer stations. If other people are waiting for computer time, there will be a 30 minute limit per person. Thanks for your help with this!

WIFI is always available on your own device outside the building.

Valhalla Children’s Centre – Open Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 8:30-3:00. 

Networks for New Parents – Modified program for Covid-19 safety.    

Passmore Community Hall 10 am-pm by appointment only on the third Thursday each month except July, August and December.  Free clothing and goods exchange for babies and young children by appointment.  Please email to book your appointment. svearlyyears@wegcss.org

Safety Modifications:

– Only attend if nobody in your household is showing any symptoms.   
– Goods exchange only. Maximum of 4 plastic grocery/shopping bags.
Pls. bring only your best & seasonally appropriate. No bigger items for now.
– Different layout w/ no play area.  Hand sanitizer & sign in mandatory.
– 2 m physical distance must be maintained.  Only one family per table. Gloves and masks will be available as well as bags for bringing items home.
– Items for taking home have been stored for 1 month & are considered safe.
